Currently house-sitting for a friend, and having a nice relaxing time. Jump is doing only one issue over a three-week span, so the scans were late last week (no Big 3) and we probably won't have our next chapters until mid-January. Ah well, it's not like I'm totally without reading material.

Gaming Goals of 2012
2011 was a strong year in gaming. Lots of AAA titles released, and a lot of playing, writing, and buying (eesh) from yours truly. Of the 50 games I (somehow) managed to conquer in 2011, 23 were games formerly entrenched in my backlog, 21 were games bought in 2011, and the rest were replays and cop-outs. Overall, probably exceeding my expectations. For one, I actually fucking did it, and for two I exposed myself to a lot of new games and series that I wouldn't have bothered with if I hadn't motivated myself in this way. Hell, I finally finished Shadow of the Colossus and Ocarina of Time the past few weeks.

Fifty - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Yup. 50 videogames beaten in one year. I won't dwell on it in this space, though, because this is supposed to be a review. Number 50 is probably the one game that I was most embarrassed not to have played over the years: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Most Anticipated Games of 2012
My gift to the internet this Christmas Eve is another collection of lists. Hey, it's December, and everyone knows that the end of every calender year is the time to pollute the web with lists of anything and everything. This time it's about games coming out in 2012. In fact, it's a list of the five 2012 games I'm most excited for. Maybe it's because I'm no longer rushed to finish games or trying to follow a deadline, but four of these five games are RPGs, which is usually a recipe for a long-ass game. Anyhow, I reckon that a few of these games will be day-one purchases for me, and others are one or two positive reviews away from being the same.

Sequential Art - December 22nd, 2011
This is what a normal Sequential Art post should be sized, but the content is a little different due to the lack of early Shounen Jump this week and the surprise extra comic. I want to keep most of these posts to about a dozen reviews, but I need to do some paring down before I can get down to that number. Anyhow, read on. Not only is Week 3 is my favorite DC Comics week, but my one Marvel series got bumped down thanks to the DC off-week awhile back.

Forty Nine - Ico
Wow. Four Nine. My goal is as close to being finished as is possible. Was that a sentence? Sure, I'll say it is. Oh, look, an Ico review.

Sequential Art - December 15th, 2011
This week I'll be a lot more brief? How brief? No trade paperbacks and fewer comics issues.

Forty Eight - Shadow of the Colossus
This was one of my most satisfying new gaming experiences of the year, without a doubt. I'm kicking myself for not having played it sooner, but at least now I'm no longer embarrassed to have missed out. Shadow of the Colossus is my third-to-last game of 2011.

Forty Seven - BioShock
I'm closing in on that goal of mine, and if I can finish roughly one game a week until the end of the year, then I'm golden. Finished my most recent project late last night, and it was one of 2007's best games in a strong year. Say hello to BioShock, Mr. B.

Sequential Art - December 8th, 2011
I apologize in advance for this post. Five comic issues, nine manga chapters, and six trade paperbacks.

2011 Gaming Awards
This kind of entry makes sense for a guy like me, right? This little fake awards bit is a mix of best-of staples and some more unusual criteria, and they're 100% my own twisted opinion about (mostly) the best of 2011 videogames. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Forty Six - Portal 2
Well, with today's new entry, I have thirty days to beat four games. My last four are going to be doozies - games I really, really ought to have beaten years ago. Four super-critically-acclaimed gems. This one's also a gem, and it's named Portal 2.

Sequential Art - December 1st, 2011
We have an uncommon fifth Wednesday of the month, so no monthlies from the major publishers. There are also a few trades I picked up, and a lot more manga than usual; one of my monthly series is in business, and one on hiatus is finally back.
